What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. How to change default transition effects to cover fade effect?

Yes I would like to know too, how to change the default transition effects as I 
find them too slow.

Yes, hope to have slide in from left/right transition effect, how can I do 
this? Is this possible in current script?
