http://www.filenew.org/projekktor/

controls to click play.

Unfortunately I do not have access to an iPad but I´ve an idea what could
cause this
issue. I set up a test page right there:
http://www.filenew.org/projekktor/index2.php
  - which is nothing more than a copy of the homepage but with autoplay enabled.

Does:

a) video playback start and
b) do you see the "buffering" icon from time to time?

Thank you.

Thanks for the reply. I can confirm that I already tried enabling autoplay on
my own
web site and it did not play on ipad, just shows the first frame and no
controls (the
contorls do flash for a brief second before the first frame shows )

The link you provided did not play on ipad either.

Thanks so much,

Im willing to help you any way possible with my ipad.

tks

thank you very much for your help. this seems to become a hard nut to crack. i
changed some things today which may also fix the specific issue. but i am not
too
optimistic.

most likely there are some event issues going on i do not fully understand
right now.
please stay tuned and give it a try with the current V0.5.7

maybe adding a kind of debugging-console could do the trick to get an idea
what´s
going on on the ipad. give me an other night to think about that.

Later.

James, on the iPad you can turn on the developer console of safari, maybe that
you could see if there is already a
JS error ?
if it's like on the iPhone, it's in General setting, safari, developer, console

I was able to reproduce a (not THE) bug on MacOSX today which was similar to the
described iPad issue. I´ve fixed the cause but I´m not sure if this solved the
mentioned iPad problem too. Please give it a try and feedback if possible.

if the bug persists, please take jeanpierre´s advice and turn on the
developer´s
console in order to open the hunting.

thanx
