Attempt at fixing the warnings while using 0.5

@acroy I guess this is ready. No warnings on v 0.5

@amitjamadagni I just refreshed my local Julia to v0.5. These changes run fine on my limited tests. Without looking too closely, I guess we are abandon the supports for earlier Julia v0.4? Just to make sure, and that is fine for me.
