Remove Rotations.jl as a dependency #61

Also clean up some dead code. It's a breaking change so bump the version number and take the opportunity to remove deprecations.

Replaces #55.

PS - Amusingly, I don't have write access to this repo anymore. If anyway can help me out I'd be grateful :)
