Is this package going to be maintained? #243

Should everyone find another option for data storage going forward? Perhaps the HDF5 module directly as it is maintained.

JLD2 also doesn't have any commits going on it as well.

JLD seems to still have a significant number of users even though full development of it has stopped. I will maintain it from time to time, fixing bugs etc.
