Working Unitless #98

It appears that Atomsbase won't let me work unitless. This seems unnecessarily restrictive. What is the intention?

Similar discussion here #1 (possibly same?). A possible solution suggested there was to have "a set of function that are guaranteed to return unitless quantities".
