Our (unwritten) rules are far more relaxed. Eg I like to tag versions just to give a collaborator the ability to pin it in a project even if tests are broken or some functionality temporarily breaks
Note also registering in MolSim does not prevent registering in General. This is my plan for the future when my codes start stabilising
Thanks for the details! It sounds great to have the packages registered in General, with an option to use the WIP versions through this registry if needed :)
Maybe as another comment - that’s how I got @mfherbst to register DFTK very early on :)
But we should leave this open and start a discussion a out what the MolSim community should generally adopt as an I formal policy in this

Is there a reason for preferring a different registry? I understood that the recommendation is to use General. BioJulia changed from a particular registry to General at that point because of that; https://github.com/BioJulia/BioJuliaRegistry
