I'm going to be nit-picky here:

looks like the top of the "O" is chopped off
the filename should be the same as the PDF: pomdps_logo.png
I'd suggest exporting to PNG as a bigger size so the quality is somewhat preserved.

Given @mossr's comments, the fact that no one has worked on this and that the "optimized" images seem to have a bit less pop, I'm going to close this. Happy to accept later if the problems are fixed (and thanks logankilpatrick!)
