@daschw @BeastyBlacksmith @SebastianM-C @asinghvi17 I lost track of this a little bit. Want to take another day here during the lockdown where we skype in the morning to talk about what's needed, then in a concerted effort get this to full usability?

Yeah, I got a little distracted by first fixing some issues in the Plots pipeline (vector type recipes, avoid copying and converting to Any). I wanted to do this first to avoid a lot of backporting afterwards. Here's what my plan was/would be: When I'm happy with the Plots pipeline (I almost am, there's still an issue with type recipes and surfaces, causing e.g. https://github.com/JuliaPlots/Plots.jl/issues/1283), I clean up the pipeline code a little bit and we start moving everything, we think should live in RecipePipeline, in a sub-module of Plots. This way we can still benefit from Plots testing, but also have a clear separation. As soon as this works, we can move the sub-module here and depend on in Plots.

That's a great plan. So could we do a day next weekend? Or should it be a weekday?

Weekend is fine for me. This way I still have a couple of evenings to play around with the surface type recipe issue.
