Should we keep the Homebrew installation to test this then?

It depends if you want to generate new bottles for each new version of MUMPS. I propose to not test this option, I just add it for Windows users or developers of MUMPS.

I started rebuilding SCALAPACK. How did you download the MUMPS source archive in the end? Their server is still down.

Rebuilding the Homebrew bottles is a world of pain. The MUMPS server is down. The PARMETIS server is also down...
