Just took two seconds to play around with the CSS in Chrome Developer tools. Turning off 'box-sizing: border box' in the usertext-edit class appears to fix it. I don't know what turing that off might break though... Oh. Also I'm on a retina screen with the display optimized to fit as much stuff as possible. That may make a difference; I'm not sure.

I'm on retina macbook too, unable to replicate.
