Adding custom shader nodes for Cycles and Eevee that simulate the in-game realtime shaders of SuperTuxKart. The kart/track exporter should be able to read those nodes to get material data assigned to them.
With the last change in 773a85aa7dc3df83649a07957e3d0d9c74ca0d0a, they're good to go for implementation
