GApps have been added in the latest release. As kornyone states it "GAPPS 
support exists in this image, in a very barebone manner"

GAPPS is not something which can be compiled in, but you can use the mdpi 
release from cyanogen froyo releases.  With it, you can extract the necessary 
apk/file permissions/framework to make GAPPS work as desired.
