Currently working on this using sugiyama layout - might be good to give me a headsup on ggpedigree changes in the meantime. Working on optimise_ggpedigree branch

function probably complete - needs proper testing, will endeavour to do this - if others can this would also be great - please let me know if something really poor!

Have done some testing with gryphons, soays, sparrows - I think it's okay.
