After steam auto update Lost all saved data

I can confirm that I have 2 saved games when I quit today. and steam auto updates itself, and when I came back, language setting is gone and my data is gone, too. I looked it up, in to the Data folders, seems like my data are in game files still? not 100% sure, but seems like something is in there. I mean, what should I do???? My others games' data are still there when I launch them with steam.

you said you lost "my saved progress and my data parameters. nothing left"

Does that mean that the save is reset to the same point after your game session? Do you always start at the same point again? How many times has this happened?

Thanks for getting back to me. I lost all the game progress including the language setting. When I open the game after auto-update, it's English (not my setting), and there is no save, no progress. Look like just installed this game. To prevent this thing happen to me again. I never quit steam, so that won't happen again so far. It happens once.

Can you make a copy of your save folder and restart Steam in order to see if it happens again? If yes, can you tell me your computer configuration pls? The folder is here : C:\Users\user\AppData\LocalLow\Sneaky Yak Studio\Spellcaster University\STEAM_ID\Saves
