As I tried to get the Thaumaturge future, I noticed some things the could help with the interface and management of the resources in the game, also as to show information a bit more clearly.
Those are the features that I think would improve the game a lot:
List of students: it is possible to manage student by student, but it takes a lot of effort. A list showing name, current year and time to graduation, the level in each sub-school of magic, traits, race, artifacts equiped and current house would really add a lot of depth to the management in the game. If actions would be added, by student or in batch using checkboxes, like changing house from a select list and change equiped artifacts, it would really add quality of life to the game.
Add list and statistics for teachers: it is not possible to see a graphics for the teachers, showing their boredom, hungry and tiredness. A list showing their names, pedagogy level, income (could have different selectable income for different teachers), room they lecture, their traits and the upgrades received (by itens on lecture room or cards). It would be nice to change the rooms the teachers lecture in this list, as a select list. An action to fire them would be good too, but that would require the possibility to hire teachers by actions or events.
Move/destroy rooms: Moving rooms would be nice but a luxury, however destroying rooms is a must. Other than the possibility of changing the focus of the school, it would prevent the no-space-to-build situation. It happened to me on turtle scenario: after building one greenhouse and one building for sacred magic (forgot the name of the room), I got stuck without the possibility to add new rooms.
View decks: is it not possible to see, in game or at the initial menu, all the cards in each deck. This is bothersome, because when you are looking for a specific card and don't remember witch deck it belongs to, a lot of time is spent uselessly. In the menu, ii could be shown as a sort of achieviement for all seen cards, as already is done with futures. In game, only the decks seen during the current run would be shown.
Remove/manage houses: it is not possible to remove a created house, and this leads to a bad interface when you have more than 4 houses. Other than that, it would be nice to have a default house, changeable, to put students automatically if another house is removed or during the students registration, if the player so chooses. Also, draging students one by one when you want to change their houses takes a lot of effort. Other than the list suggested above, selecting more than one student by dragging the mouse ot by shit-clicking them would really make it easier.
Accept/decline all students registrations: when a lot of students are registering, it is tiresome to accept them all or to reject them all. An option to accept all (using default house) or reject them all would be a nice addition to the game. Also, a list showing years to study and traits, as a house selection, at the registration would really make it easier and also a lot more clear to see the traits (even if as a tooltip) when there are a lot of them. A filter would be nice also, like rejecting students that want to study less than five year or by undesired traits.
Opening space in stables: an option to sell animals would be nice, as when there is no more space avaiable to build new stables, the player is stuck with the current ones and new animal cards become useless.
Observatory mana generation data: it would be nice to click the observatory and see how much mana was generated by the room, and witch types.
Trash card selection: sometimes, all 3 cards are undesirable, so the choice to not receive any of them would be nice.
Stack cards: potion ingredients can stack a lot, and make the card section really a mess. stacking the cards by number owned would help with that.
Animal list: a simple list to see the animals you own in the stables.
Remove decorations: at my 100 years run, I got stuck with a bad situation: almost all my students were elves, due to a lot of decorations helping with that. I wanted more half-orcs, by there was no more space for new decorations. The ability to change/remove them would help with micro-management in the game and avoid such situations.
List of rooms/room naming/room filter: naming the rooms would help when you have a lot of the same kind of room, also, a list of them showing their name, eficcience level and activated rom features would help a lot to manage the rooms. Also adding a filter to shown rooms by magic type would help to locate them when the school gets to big.
