Please @dangermendez, post the files in a different repo so that the community can use, review, and eventually collaborate :)
Ok, I’ll do this in a few minutes
I have published the files in a new repository. Check it out! https://github.com/dangermendez/MontserratGreek
I also modified some glyphs to improve accuracy.
@JulietaUla, @solmatas, @fonthausen, @davelab6 and @googlefonts should also see this!
Hi (just passed by this issue), I have designed a version of Montserrat with Greek support(incomplete) → fonts preview Releases · MY1L/Monu
@MY1L Great project! Thank you for your contribution! Also check out my version for comparison on my previous comment.
P.S. The lowercase delta (δ) is too short on the regular weight, and the tails on ζ, ξ, ς are too short. Also and the phi (φ) is somewhat out of shape. You might want to adjust them soon.
EDIT: Unlike this one, my version contains Greek Extended support ( ἀ, ἂ, ῇ, ᾦ, ὲ, ὑ, ᾶ, ἴ, ὃ, etc) (See the third sample image on my repo for more information).
@juandelperal @JulietaUla Do you have plans to implement my Greek addition that I made in August, to the official Montserrat font family?
Any updates on that? The font is excellent and we need greek compatibility.
Well, I checked both @dangermendez 's and @MY1L 's versions which are both great. @MY1L You've put in a ton of work!
But, I needed a couple more weights (especially a variable version based on the latest v8.000 from Google Fonts) so I decided to give it a try and remix it using glyphs from the font itself. You can find it here.
Notice: I also modified the letters "π" in Greek and "a" in Latin.
Hope that helps :)
Thank you for your interest in the design proposals for the Greek script in Montserrat. At present, our primary focus lies on incorporating African scripts into the font. While the addition of various scripts is a goal for the future, our current efforts align with these specific script priorities. The inclusion of different scripts depends on the considerations and priorities set by Google Fonts. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work toward expanding Montserrat's capabilities.

Thank you very much for your efforts! We appreciate it 😃.
So, does this mean that any past or future contributions from us wont be considered? More than 2 years passed since this issue and many people would like to contribute to the official project. Us sharing random repos with remixed fonts isn't the best solution 😆
See the latest comment at issue #111 for the project that I designed.
