Scan puzzles from newspapers etc #70

I guess it would be pretty tricky to setup a scan and OCR feature to import
puzzles from newspapers etc? Even if the OCR wasn't perfect correcting a
few numbers would be easier than entering a puzzle from scratch.

Just a thought!

Thanks,

Gregg

There is already an app in Android Market, which does exactly that. It is
called
"Sudoku Camera", you can take a photo of puzzle and import it to OpenSudoku or
Andoku.
However it's not free.

How about at least being able to enter a puzzle via keyboard, with numbers and
periods (representing open cells)? Thus, any puzzle can be represented by a
string of 81 characters. This is a generally accepted way of entering sudoku
puzzle data - I have used it in several other apps.
