Hi Julius,

I'm an artist and very new to this area. I have two videos and wanna get them play synchronised on different displays. I've purchased two Pi 3, and successfully get my videos play on Pi 3. But when it comes to the point I wanna make them to sync, which in the article (https://mp4museum.org/howto-sync/) said create a file called “sync-leader.txt”, but I couldn't find the content (code?) of the file, is it a blank txt file? and I believe leader and player should be on different SD card that on different players that connect to different monitors/displays?

Or shld I install omxplayer-sync onto the Pi 3, if so, how can I do?

hopefully I describe my issue correctly.

Thank you very much

hi,

the file can have any (or no) content, it just needs to be on the sd card so that the desired mode is activated. this goes for leader and players, they all require a txt file defining their role.

you will need one leader raspberry pi, then add as many players as you need.

no need to install omxplayer-sync, this is what starts via .txt file, instead of the standard vlc.

cheers from a fellow artist!
