yes, that was my first idea as well, but I didn't know how to do it. Anyway, because you suggested it also, I tried something else here. Spoiler: it's not (yet) a gear. The menu might be useful in the future to add more items ("help", "about" etc...) I can imagine that there are many other ways to do this.

can you look at this directly without opening another pull request or should I just push the button ;) ?

It's unfortunate that the SDK do not contain a gear icon. Perhaps this one would do ? https://pictogrammers.com/library/mdi/icon/cog-outline/ (in the download menu, choose "Download XML Vector Drawable for Android")
