Why does Seal suddenly stop downloading?:

There's a chance the problem is with the app or yt-dlp, and we're committed to resolving it quickly. But, it's more often due to website restrictions that are beyond our control.

• Websites can detect and block downloads: Websites can identify you or your IP when you're using tools like Seal to download videos, and might flag and block your IP to prevent this.
• It's you downloading the videos: It's your device using Seal to download the videos, just like you're watching them in a browser. And you might not expect the browser to fix the issue when you're blocked by a website.
• We don't download the videos for you: Other apps might use their own servers for downloads. When one gets blocked, they can switch to another for downloading. This seems more reliable, but also compromises your privacy and needs to make money off you to cover the server expenses.

So can you fix my download issues?

Websites track you based on your IP address, device, and the app you're using. When any of these change, websites may (or may not) see you as a new user and allow you to download again.

So the answer is no, but you can try bypassing the blocking by:

• Change your IP: Wait for your ISP to assign a new one to you, or use a VPN with an IP that is not affected
• Use another app: YTDLnis (another yt-dlp based downloader), or run yt-dlp on a PC
• Wait for the block lifted
