image upload to Matrix server via Element desktop/flatpak fails (other clients work) Matrix room tested: Nix Nerds uploading same image via different client (nheko) worked, albeit slowly.

I feel this is problematic since this is the method we've been recommending in our Matrix info on LUP.com

I've been directing folks to the nixos-challenge github as an alternative, w good results.

G'day Gerbrent ... there is a good chance that your flatpak app cannot access the image you want to load. This is part of the flatpak sandbox model. Help is available.

Flatseal ... lets you manage permissions for your machine for an app. You can remove access to a directory too if you want. I discovered this when meld refused to open a file in /tmp.

There are several resources to tweak, not just files. Flat seal is essential to Flatpak users.

If only someone has the app to tweak meta days and settings 😁 that might just round out Flatpak as a platform... Good luck.
