1 year ago Binary sensor works. Tell us what you tried, what setup you have (HTTPS? Webhooks?). Enable debug logs and send them here. Provide more details about when it stopped working, what you did. For 1.3.6 you need to have webhooks working.

1 year ago I think HA community actually changed something related to the web hooks but I guess there is a motion alarm sensors that wasn't there before, basically multiple sensors for motion detection result on motion always detected.

In my case i just made a certificate and connect thru duckdns. Is there some instruction for noobs to connect move sensor? It's not appear when i do all steps. But i can't use http instead of https inside my local network, where to find manual to do it?

Make sure the camera has motion detection turned on:

Make sure the camera can see you and your movement You wil have to trust me on that on ahah !
If you have webhooks enabled, and your Home Assistant internal URL is reachable on HTTP, make sure camera can reach it. I have webhooks enable... tried to disable it ... i know it's faster but it's not a must for me if i need to disable it i can do it... My home assistant is NOT reachable via http. everything is setup with a let's encrypt certificate
Make sure you have correct IP set for Home Assistant. Turn on Advanced Mode under /profile. Go to /config/network and under Network Adapter verify correct IP is shown for the device. If it is not correct, under Home Assistant URL uncheck Automatic next to Local Network and set it to http://
Certain camera firmwares have pullpoint broken, with only webhooks working. If you are not able to run webhooks because of above (https, or vlan setup), binary sensor will never show up. So that means if you have an https setup sensor won't work ... ?
So we found it ? the issue is that I have an ssl certificate for external access ?

1 year ago In orders to webhooks work on Tapo cameras you need to have HA reachable via http on local and have this URL set in the settings as the base URL. There is no other way, new firmwares have broken pullpoint which worked before.

Also, do i need webhook ? I disabled it and i still don’t have any sensor

1 year ago There are many ways on how to do that depending on your env and setup. What you need is having http available on your local and https outside. You could for example to this by having HA run without ssl and then use nginx reverse proxy with certificate from letsencrypt, or you could use https to http tunnel service on your local.
Webhooks are the only supported onvif communication way on the bugged firmwares, yes you need them.

1 year ago @JurajNyiri 5.2.3 in my case works without to touch anything on HA. I had some network issue and I'm sorry if I raised up on this discussion.. anyhow I will be reading the readme before updating to 5.3.0 (official release)

Hey my binary sensor won't appear on both (c100 & c200 )of my cam ( don't know since when ) I did a lot of search a lot of trouble shoot but nothing work. I check everything in the FAQ ... still wont work...
