I run the bot 24/7 on my PC but can I do some loop command or make it so it just keeps playing the same youtube playlist

danymo1221 commented 7 years ago

Just put the url's of the songs from the youtube playlist into autoplaylist and enable autoplaylist....

Zenrac commented 7 years ago

@danymo1221 Yes or, use a "repeat command" #486 #112

@pezywezy I would recommend not running the bot 24/7 on your computer because your computer is probably not built for that unless you have the best i7 processor or the best AMD Ryzen processor. And it ads to your electricity bill! If I where you I would rent a dedicated server that may restart sometimes but have good uptimes! Its better to rent a server than buying a new pc when it suddenly overheats or something that'l just lend you loads of more trubble!

I have my pc on 24/7 running programs anyways and it barely adds any stress to it also I have an i5-6500 so not the best but with a good cooler and don't pay the electric bill

pezyalt commented 7 years ago

I've been running it on my pc for a bit over a week and its been doing fine

What IceViper04 said is misleading and not true.

This bot, like many, requires very little to keep up and running. Your pentium 4 with 1gb of ram on windows 7 or ubuntu server 16 will run it day and night with no sweat.

The documentation provides instructions on how to set it up for autoplay (see here: https://github.com/Just-Some-Bots/MusicBot/wiki/Configuration )
