FT8 Report ? #6

Bonjour J'ai constaté un probleme au niveau des rapport dans le plugin FT8 . Les reports sonts tous posisitifs ou egal à 0 . Cen'est vraiment pas normal . non ?

Hello I noticed a problem with the reports in the FT8 plugin. The reports are all positive or equal to 0. It's really not normal. No ?

It took a while and since it was half a year ago that I looked into the sources it took some thinking. The number you are referring to does not mean much, it is a strength indicator or the signal, bit there is no scale for. It is merely meant as an indicator. It is built up from adding some numbers that appear in the computation, some db numbers are added up to detect the most likely element in the spectrum for being a member of the FT8 signal.
