Look and Feel Ideas? #3

Hello! Normally I would sit on some darkish themes light ones always feel too aggressive on me, but this is not a personal project, I'm not a great web designer so I do need some help or ideas on this, what could look better and what not.

I could see this kind of green oriented with some brown touches (Minecraft anyone? hahaha). but yet can't think of a color scheme.

I was going to take a look at one of these themes:

I believe someone has a Pelican theme for these, which made me think of it. But perhaps it is too marketing-y. Your thoughts?

I'm thinking about using this theme: http://freehtml5.co/booster-free-html5-bootstrap-template/

I'll give a try at adopting it to use the approach you did in your Sphinx theme.

Nice!

Yes, the only thing you would like to care about is to overwrite the specific templates in the _templates folder and yet if you don't overwrite a specific template you can can still use the base look and feel of a specific theme (alabaster, classic, basic)

these are the sphinx themes, if you want to take a look at how they are built https://github.com/sphinx-doc/sphinx/tree/master/sphinx/themes

you can literally start from scratch by copy-pasting the base.html of the classic theme in yout _templates folder

I was looking around in G+ and suddenly this appeared, it might fit http://mdbootstrap.com/ our design goals

I’m using a material design in the actual editor. It doesn’t work as well for a “marketing” site.
