If relevant, please answer to the following questions:
1. What version of Python(x,y) have you installed?
2.6.5.1
2. Which components have you installed (Python(x,y) installer: component
page):
Almost all, including one additional plugin (pybluez).
3. Have you selected the option "Customize installation directories"?
Yes
4. If the answer to 3. is yes, what installation directories have you
chosen?
I chose c:\applications\development\pythonxy for the main installation
directory. The default was "C:\Program Files\pythonxy". When the installer
asked for the location for the doc directory, the default was "C:\Program
Files\pythonxy\doc", whereas I would have expected it to have remembered the
previous choice and defaulted to c:\applications\development\pythonxy\doc. The
lack of this sensible default meant I had to manually edit every single
installation directory.
5. Where did you install Python(x,y) itself?
b. custom path, which one? See above
6. Have you installed Python(x,y):
b. For "All users"
7. What is your operating system?
a. Windows XP
8. When you installed Python(x,y), were you logged in as :
b. an administrator of the machine
10. Regarding installed softwares on your machine, how did you clean your
machine before installing Python(x,y) (multiple answers are possible):
b. you uninstalled any previous Python distribution (including the
official .msi)
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Run the installer
2. Choose "Custom directory"
3. Change the directory for the main pythonxy installation
4. Look at the default for the doc directory, eclipse directory etc
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Default doc directory should be the doc subdirectory of the selected main
directory.
