How would one get this working for multiple confluence sites #186

I'm looking at least 4 confluence sites which I'd like to add to the search aggregator. Can I get some pointers on how to modify the backend to accomplish this?

I've submitted PR sketching out what I THINK could be a solution. I'm not a typescript nor backstage expert. RFC!
