Desktop shortcut #6

Hi! I've started using iromsgl as part of a project with the Irish Film Archive and while installing I noticed that when I input: python C:\Iromlab_Iromsgl\iromsgl-main\iromlab-configure.py the following prompt appears:

Capture_11

as well as:

Capture_12

Is this specific to iromsgl or is there something that I can do to get the desktop shortcut to work? Thanks!

@NiamhElizabeth Sorry for the delayed response, as I didn't notice your message earlier (oddly it didn't trigger a notification). I just came across the same issue in ipmlab, and also found a fix. The only problem is that this fix would only work for a fully packaged version of Iromsgl, but as I haven't sorted out the packaging that won't be of much help right now!

In the meantime you can work around this by launching iromsgl from the command-line, e.g.

python C:\Iromlab_Iromsgl\iromlab-launch.py

Once everything is properly packaged the configuration script and the shortcut should all work, but this might take a while. BTW I'm off for 3 weeks of holidays now, so I might be a bit slow to respond in case of any further questions. Hope this helps!

Reminder to self - already patched Ipmlab changes back into Iromsgl: https://github.com/KBNLresearch/iromsgl/commit/a60c96bd3f65133eec891718043a2e4edea26176.

TODO: finish packaging, upload to PyPi.

@bitsgalore Not to worry about any delay. I was using the command line to launch but have created my own desktop shortcut in the meantime. I'm using it to great effect on a particular project for the IFI. Thank you so much for creating it! Looking forward to the packaged version!
