According to the first sketch:

Create the layout, without programming actions

The idea behind "Type" is to define:

• Manchester's timing (mainly the information's period, as I want to simulate the behavior of a real display)
• RGB[W] format, like WS2812 will only be RGB and SK6812 will be RGBW

For the "single" or "strip" thing, the goal is to place:

• LED-by-LED with one click
• Or a strip, with a first click being the start and a second click for the end

The size option here is the LED's packaging information (applied to newly placed LED and not already present ones)

Note: Might as well add interstice between each LED with a TextBox or something more textual than a Drop-down List (this will be working on both single and strip option, but affecting only newly placed elements)
