PCI MOD #12

Hi.. just to give some report about this mod..

I followed guide from this website ( I was unable to open all files but I figured out what is needed to be soldered on motherboard)

I did modification but without success about stepping down voltage.. everything is placed as explained and Maschine boots.

2 resistors and one relay .. but voltage on PCI slot is still 20 v ( adapter is 20 v) It gave me idea to pull out PCI pins that conduct power and add ,,voltage step Buck '' in between to lower voltage to 12 v. (But I believe that this will take a lot of time )

I also have to report that I found none of points, that shows me 12 v on voltmeter So I am not sure if that voltage even exists on this slim motherboard because none of components use 12 v to operate. Voltage on board is mostly about 1.4v 3.3v; 5.1v

Maybe something else is needed to be added on board but as I said I was not able to open all files.

Any suggestion is welcome since the internet is full of this discussion but I haven't seen no one that presented full sucsses. what I think that I missed is ,, MWSA0603`` since its mentioned in files

Many thanks

See readme PCIe section ⚠警告: 使用 DIY PCIe 转接板必须搭配 12V DC 电源, 使用 19V 笔记本电源将烧毁 PCIe 设备 Google translate Warning: The DIY PCIe adapter board must be used with a 12V DC power supply. Using a 19V laptop power supply will burn the PCIe device. It's advise to use a riser to connect pcie devices, because lack of decoupling capacitor on the main board also see #5 use Google translate

Hi.. many thanks for your response . Maybe I misunderstand google translate ( I was thinking that PCB modification will make effect on voltage and drop woltage to 12v on needed point) but it's clear now . 12v power is ,,must'' to make this work and proper PCB soldering.

5 - this discussion helped me a lot.
