Hit and miss when starting PINO - sometimes will connect, sometimes not.

What steps will reproduce the problem?

I cant reproduce the error with any solid reliability.  Sometimes it will 
connect to Twitter no problem, sometimes it wont.

Opening through terminal the following error happened when it took a LONG time 
to connect, finally connected and then dropped out, with the program still 
running, just saying it couldnt connect any more.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

I am using PINO from the ppa vers. 0.2.12 on an amd64 ubuntu 9.10 machine, 
fully updated from a clean install with the Gnome Desktop Environment
