Will they ever build a Pino package for 10.10....like ever?....we'll take the
old one until 0.3 but someone needs to build one. Until then, it's
Hotot/Turpial city unfortunately.

Hotot sucks same Turpial. Why do you build Pino or why do you made Pino if you
dont develop the version for the big distro release Ubuntu 10.10 ? If you dont
mantain the Pino application then close de project and that`s all. I convert
the .rpm package in .deb and i install Pino. Is so hard to build a fucking .deb
package and to put available to download like the fucking .rpm?

@prom3t3u51985: No need to be so harsh! The devs do this in their free time.
You aren't entitled to anything. Instead of cursing, why not step up and do the
job - create a Pino PPA for 10.10!

Ooohhh yes, in all the free time devs have, they are just packages rpm? WTF???
Who the fuck use Fedora and all the distro based on .rpm. WAKE UP!! Pino is so
popular because the Ubuntu users made so popular and use it. Because the ubuntu
blogger and ubuntu sites they write about Pino. Show mee 1 rpm distro blogger
or site who promote Pino.
I made the PPA if someone tell me how. I dont want devs make PPA but just ofer
a fucking .deb package like they do with .rpm

deepak.sarda,
Prom3t3u51985 makes some really good points here. I mean, if they can build in
for fedora, you'd think someone could build it for ubuntu. Non-devs have
contributed in other ways by promoting it. Asking a non-dev to make a package
for someone else's project is like me asking someone else with no graphics
experience to create my own graphic designs. Like this person said, if you
can't keep up with it, maybe you should drop the project! I mean 10.10 has been
around for a month and they knew it was coming, plus they've already packaged
for 10.04 so the expectation is that they would pkg for 10.10. If you only want
to package for Fedora, then why not just say so. We would have been fine using
the old version with Supertweet by the way. It is a shame as Pino is the best
one right now in terms of design and multiple sign-in and I mean that in the
kindest way. All the best....

Hi tylana7,
You misunderstand my comment. I don't disagree that users expect a 10.10 Ubuntu
package, especially since pino devs have provided packages for Ubuntu in the
past. If I didn't agree, why would I file this issue?!
What I don't agree with is the tone & attitude of entitlement that
prom3t3u51985 displayed in his comment. What is the point of cursing? Where's
respect for the devs doing the hard work? Where's common courtesy?

I have made PPA for my 0.2 fork (no identica, no multiaccounts)
https://launchpad.net/ubino
can be full of bugs and/or missing some dependencies (my first PPA)

Congratulations lost.chi. Why should others take care of software developed by
others? If you start a fucking project, then finish him not let him in the care
of others. Because it's your creation mutherfucker! If you can afford to
develop it, then close the project.

deepak.sarda,
I see your point as well and appreciate the courteous sentiments. I just also
understand where the valid frustration is coming from. Take care. :)

I have Pino working in Ubuntu 10.10!! Just go to playdeb(dot)net (a third party
repo) and get it. :)
