Not a lot of people like creating accounts and most people have short attention spans. Why not make Guest Uploading possible? If people want to keep track of their uploads, THEN they can create an account. If the just want to upload something on the go, then they can just do it via guest.
On the thumbnail, the username of the uploader is displayed. For guests, we can just display "Anon" or "Guest" same thing for the image sidebar.
