The code the original PR was based on got some bugfixes up to now: https://github.com/cms-sw/cmssw/commits/master/PhysicsTools/PatUtils/plugins/L1PrefiringWeightProducer.cc This PR https://github.com/KIT-CMS/Excalibur/pull/69 was merged in Jan. 2021.
