Split brass hotend insert #8

Open MSKeith opened 2 years ago

This splits the brass insert so that the "melting chamber" has a radius turn vs a 90 milled connection between the inlet and outlet holes.

Hello, I think this is a bit premature. I tried a design that is two pieces clamp together. But the tolerance has to be perfect in order for anything not to leak. I think if you want. Make this piece on your own and experiment with it and see if it works. If it works, I’ll add it in. Thank you.

I think maybe a 2mm ball end mill bit can make a smooth connection in the brass insert here are pics of my idea and the long neck ball end mill https://imgur.com/gallery/J0DPor0 and I found similar mill on Amazon but it is very expensive https://www.amazon.com/Tungsten-Carbide-Milling-Engraving-R0-4-8-D4-50-2T/dp/B07VFR8L2Z/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1UOW7KV0SOCN9&keywords=ball%2Bend%2Bmill%2B2mm%2Blong%2Bneck&qid=1654872097&sprefix=ball%2Bend%2Bmill%2B2mm%2Blong%2Bneck%2Caps%2C374&sr=8-3&th=1

If anyone got this to work, please create a new pull request with evidence if it working. because I think the work and complexity is too much, and the flow rate might not even improve by that much.
