Improve the playback interface. #1863

Is there an existing issue for this?

Improve the playback interface, it looks very cluttered because of the icons, it is full of many buttons or make that option customizable, as well as add different background modes, blurred cover background, darker cover background colors, I feel the color it has would be more for light mode or not dark. I would really appreciate to improve the interface

I was going to open my own issue but I think my ideas properly belong here as additions.

I am running Spotube 3.8.1 on a Windows 11 Pro 64-bit system on a desktop PC.

When I open Spotube, sometimes I can navigate to the controls with the Tab key & sometimes I can't. I find that if I close & reopen Spotube maybe 8 or a dozen times, suddenly it recognizes the Tab key & I can navigate the controls from the keyboard.

Sometimes when I open Spotube the most recently selected next song automatically launches playback & sometimes it doesn't. I don't want playback to automatically launch. I'm sure some people want that but I don't. I should think auto launch of playback ought to be a yes/no user setting. When Spotube first opens, it takes a few seconds for the default home screen to populate with the various icons & what not. Initially, the playback button shows the right-pointing triangle to indicate nothing is playing. But when the icons all snap into view, simultaneously, the playback button goes to the || graphic indicating that clicking the button will pause what is playing. I want the triangle to stay there until I click it (or press the Spacebar key).

Scroll bars should have little arrows on the end so you can scroll a single line at a time. This applies to both vertical & horizontal scroll bars. The Windows standard is to have those arrows. They appear & disappear with mouse hovering but they are always there. Spotube needs to adhere to the global Windows desktop application design paradigm.

When I open Spotube, the window is partially off screen. This may be an artifact of my having 2 monitors. I already reported this for a previous release over here: #1790.

I am facing similar issues, mainly I simply want a "now playing" screen that has not only a like button but also a "add to playlist" button. I use playlists a lot to sort new music.

And the "now playing" screen is something I think is pretty much a standard at this point and I wonder how spotube come to not have any whatsoever (except on mobile)

I want to have some sort of playing screen like apple music's or spotify or youtube music have.

I may also be able to implement such a screen, but I am unfamiliar with the project's sourcecode and I don't really want to deep dive into it if someone more familiar could do it as well
