It's actually implemented but not releases. There's a new "API Type" named "Jiosaavn" which offers 320kpbs high quality mp4 track. It's available in the nightly channel

This new API is horrible at finding the correct audio. I just got a Russian song for a Korean song.

Absolutely terrible. Only one song in a Playlist of over 1,000 was correct. Only one.

Looks like JioSaavn is only good for English and South Asian region. Sorry for the disappointment but it's good that it was found first hand.

@Dae-Hang-Sook what do you think about Kuwo music? Does it include all Chinese/Japanese/Korean songs better? If it's good enough for that region. I'll try to implement that along with JioSaavn

I've never in my life heard of "Kuwo music"

So please tell what kind of app/website people in that region use for music?

I live in the U.S. I'd be unsure. Have a look into "Naver Vibe" it's an application and I'm terribly sorry for not specifying this

Serious word of advice, follow any rules or agreements you come across. Naver applies international laws instead of country based ones so you will be punished accordingly for breaking rules or TOS agreements. So far so good though!

For me, the audio quality problem is not related to the bitrate, nor to YouTube, Jiosaavn or Piped, it's only when the song is played directly on the phone thru the phone speaker. All the engines have the same audio quality when I listen to them on the phone speaker. I use Jiosaavn, but I also tried YouTube and Piped. It seems (it's like) that Spotube does not use the same audio engine as the other multimedia applications on the phone. The problem only occurs for the sound coming out of the phone speaker. Bluetooth works fine and the audio quality is very good !

The sound that plays through the phone speaker is dull, without bass, and the volume is low. We immediately see the difference with other applications on the phone. If we go during playback to the top right on the ā€œiā€ for the song details, then if we click on the stream URL link and the song plays in the web browser, we immediately notice the difference in quality.

Keep up the good work ! Amazing app ! :) Thanks !

Similar to the next comment on the link yes. Dull sound always (not intermittent) coming from phone speaker only. Bluetooth sound is perfect!

Also, I find another application using Flutter on git/FDroid named Musify. I don't have the poor quality sound coming from phone speaker with it. It may be a possible solution! Thanks!
