part not updating #2954

i am trying to make a script to get the values of several thermometers and i run part:toggle to turn them on then i use part:display to get the temp. it shows off but when i right click the thermometer it has a value and when running the script again it shows a value.

This is likely a duplicate of issue #2656. While not the exact same executing kerboScript the underlying cause and symptoms likely are the same.
