Feature Request: Procedural Truss

I've made a post on the forums with some of my reasoning here, but mostly because I want to build realistic-looking rockets with light-weight truss structures.

Ideally these trusses would:

Have all the same features as the procedural structural part.
Have have number of truss members per vertex be adjustable. (probably too much hassle)
Different truss grid presets available, such as triangular and rectangular trusses
Member thickness adjustment in the width and thickness directions (parallel with the truss surface, and normal to the truss surface, respectively)
Be hollow so that parts can be placed inside.
