KAL-1000 setup is deleted when vessel is stored in subassemblies then added to another craft, which is pretty annoying. Example : First pic is the craft it self, 2nd : saved the probe+kal+hinge as subassembly, removed from craft, added them back from subassemblie, KAL setup is gone. screenshot64 screenshot65

I have explored this before. The workaround is to save your subassembly as a normal craft, then select "merge" in the craft selector to spawn it in. I have found that to be way more reliable in general compared to subassemblies.
