On Debian 11 (stable)

Script was installed from KWin scenarios.

It can be fixed, please?

KSmanis commented 2 years ago

Could you try installing the script under a brand-new user?

testitquickly commented 2 years ago

So,

A new user.

This is where it was selected for installation 001 - installation

Is this the right path?

Try to move Dolphin window in center — Meta+C — (failed) 002 - try to move Dolphin in center (failed)

For the reference, this are native keyboard settings - english only. 003 - keyboard settings

and this are advanced keyboard settings - all off. 004 - keyboard advanced (all off)

Thanks for the detailed feedback.

A few questions:

  1. Did you try restarting KWin / logging off and back on / rebooting after installing the script?
  2. Can you trigger any other shortcut involving Meta? For example, Meta+F6 is bound to Move Mouse to Center by default.
  3. Could you post a screenshot of the System Settings > Shortcuts > Shortcuts > KWin > Move Window to Center shortcut? You can actually override it there to a different shortcut that doesn't involve Meta.

Let's see where we get with the above for starters.

It probably misses a metadata.json?

This version (flattened dir structure, reduced file count, added metadata.json) works for me:
