Hi Kate,

Sorry my work on it has been a little sporadic! I just got to the final checks of Santa Cruz High 2018 before I noticed that there is no date for two of the species. For Santa Cruz High 2018 there is no date listed for Hypochaeris sp. and Holcus lanatus but cover data was collected for all of the other species in this file on 5/2/18. Santa Cruz High 2019 has all of its dates so I will work on that one until you hear from the PI. Thanks for writing such thorough checks into your code!

Question for Michael: Hi Michael,

We are planning to have a formal IDE event at ESA this year. We will submit our proposal and keep our fingers crossed.



Apologies for the lack a clarity. It looks like my original email asking for missing species to be added to the taxa tables was lost in a series of emails I sent to Michael (sorry for all the inquiries). 

It would be great if you all could add missing species to the attached spreadsheets. I think this will make it less likely for me to make a mistake by tracking them down across spreadsheets for different sites. Once we bring this information into SQL, we standardize all species names using World Flora's database. 

Could you please add the following species to the taxa table for Santa Cruz High IDE data from 2021 (attached):

Madia_sativa -- Pseudognaphalium_canacens Oxalis_pilosa Vicia_spp. Broidaea_elegans Trifolium_hirtum Perideridia_gardneri

Everything looks great! I just have one more question about a Vicia species listed in the attached (updated) 2021 data from Santa Cruz High. The taxa column lists this as Vicia_spp, but the species column on the same row says the species is 'sativa'. Which name is correct (Vicia_spp. or Vicia_sativa)? You all also list a Vicia_sativa (Vichia_sativa) on this spreadsheet.

I can correct this in our database. Also, the blocks and plots look incorrect for the 2018 cover data at Santa Cruz High. Would correcting the blocks in the cover file make sense? I'm guessing it was just an error with labelling the blocks but wanted to make sure. See the 2018 plan file and 2018 cover files attached.
