The Matlab version of SIMDEUM models both water demand and water discharge (SIMDEUM-WW, waste water). The discharge pattern is derived from the demand pattern in a pre procesing step where 1) time of event can be shifted (e.g. bath discahrge can be minutes - hour after filling it), 2) flow rate can be changed (discharge of toilet is must higher flow rate than filling the cistern) + duration is adjusted accordingly. Then there is also a post processing step where water quality information is added: temperature of the discharged water (unknown is how this temperature changes from drain to outside sewer), and per type of end use TOC, N, P, etc. can be added. Info on values for all end uses are reported in [Bailey, O., Zlatanovic, L., van der Hoek, J. P., Kapelan, Z., Blokker, M., Arnot, T. and Hofman, J. (2020). "A Stochastic Model to Predict Flow, Nutrient and Temperature Changes in a Sewer under Water Conservation Scenarios." Water, 12(4), 1187.]
