On a new Ubuntu 20.04 , I installed MXstudio ppa. I found that, can't get kxstudio build of Ardour 5.12. It seems that there is something wrong on github?

The apt response message reports : W: get https://objects.githubusercontent.com/github-production-release-asset-2e65be/39372848/8aa15b98-85a7-11e8-973f-4d10a1d77d55?X-Amz-Algorithm=AWS4-HMAC-SHA256&X-Amz-Credential=AKIAIWNJYAX4CSVEH53A/20220112/us-east-1/s3/aws4_request&X-Amz-Date=20220112T021307Z&X-Amz-Expires=300&X-Amz-Signature=c80747d5d4f221a785563e66a80029189a0e7d4a45536791f47851c3cfae93cf&X-Amz-SignedHeaders=host&actor_id=0&key_id=0&repo_id=39372848&response-content-disposition=attachment; filename=ardour_5.12.0-1kxstudio2v5_amd64.deb&response-content-type=application/octet-stream failed 401 Unauthorized [IP: 185.199.109.133 443]

AWS is blocked in your ISP?

The file is just https://github.com/KXStudio/Repository/releases/download/gcc5/ardour_5.12.0-1kxstudio2v5_amd64.deb

MGdesigner commented 2 years ago

Thank you very much! I will also contact my ISP why they blocked AWS.

Same issue here, the .deb file worked well but I don't think is an AWS matter.

Same issue here, at least installing the .deb manually is a reasonable workaround for now.

Same problem here. Manual download works as workaround.

The repos that contain the ardour separate package have been removed/disabled. I will write more details on the next kxstudio monthly report.
