my vote:

multiple teams: per-sprint
team leadership: team-leader/mentor pairing
role delegation: individuals decide

other considerations:

desirability conflicts: handling multiple people asking for the same story

A point about desirability - This is one area where open source organization will be different than enterprise.. I will do my best to let people work on the sections of the application which interest them, but I am almost certain that there will be some grunt work which everyone will want to avoid. In those instances, I will try to spread the drudgery around so that nobody has to endure more than is necessary...

Yeah, that's a good point to consider. I'm not opposed to volunteering myself to a fair amount of drudgery. Everybody should possibly make note of what personal preferences/strengths/weaknesses ought be taken into account. That would also allow us to have a sort-of active attendee list. I think we may have already discussed this.
