Currently the only workaround is to press F1 to refresh all the songs to add them back.

A simple solution could be to periodically perform an F1 refresh automatically in the background?

E.g. on a countdown every 1min, or after events e.g. transitions, if easily listenable?

(I'd be interested in a fix for this because I'm playing from the couch and it's quite annoying to have to reach for the keyboard)

I think the solution for this really is just to fix the underlying issue, which I'll have to look at when I have more time. But I currently don't really have that much time to look into it, which is why it hasn't been fixed yet.
