at the very beginning when i bought this laptop, i already had the idea how to unlock the advanced menu of the bios. But finally i gave up because Acer has kind of verification on the modified bios.

Today i just accidentally found this article which teach you how to unlock the bios without flashing it.

It did work! It seems that you can even overclock the cpu with the unlocked bios if you want 😄

Will Hackintosh also benefit?

Hmm, i just tried disabling the internal graphic and making the Geforce graphic card work, but hackintosh still ran with HD4400. an article explains the reason: https://www.bios-mods.com/forum/archive/index.php?thread-20407-4.html

However, if i disable the auto switching feature of graphics and set the primary display to PCI express graphic / PCI, the internal display will keep off after starting... which means, i should open the back cover and plug off the battery as well as pull out the battery of BOIS to reset it back.

Ye, because it's muxless as the article describes.

But maybe using an external screen would probably work. So basically, two more things shoudl be done:

currently i still don't know if it works and only did a little bit research and haven't gone that further. Need finishing my master thesis in the first place 😄 (expectedly on Tuesday).

how do you think? Let me know if u guys find something new!

We have an Optimus Graphic Card, so probably it won't work.

we have 750m right, the drivers support 750 but 750m is not supported as its coupled with the intel one right. but the the drivers have 750 modules right?i m just guessing here...

unlocking bios is ok. but cannot user 750m
