KR crash to desktop, missing files #1159

Explanation of the issue: Whenever I open HOI4 in KR, crashes into desktop. I ran it in debug mode and it gave me around 10000 errors, mostly were missing files like sound and texture. This is exclusive to KR for some reason since I ran the game in both Vanilla and other content mods like Deluge and Great War. All of the missing file list is in the error log.

Quick questions:

OS: Mac OS High Sierra HoI4 version: 1.5.3 Kaiserreich version:0.6.2 Garibaldi Using Steam? yes Were you in multiplayer? no List other mods used (including KR Music mod): no Have you changed any files, outside of mods used? no Checksum (four-letter code at the bottom of your title menu): e4ce Which DLC expansions do you NOT have? I don't have the Together for Victory DLC Steps to reproduce:

  1. The game doesn't immediately crash, it takes a year or so around 1937

@maplesyrupkebab Pretty sure these are two entirely separate issues. Insofar as the 1937 crash goes, is that save supposed to crash reliably? How long do I need to play it in order to reach the crash?

The save should be around january-february. It crashes before march begins

The errors are all audio/animation errors, due to calls being made to assets which are part of TfV - they don't affect anything. As for the crash: I loaded your save with just Steam KR active and TfV disabled, like you have... and no crash, on three separate tries.

If it's a result of you using a Mac (none of us have a Mac, so we can't test with that), or some other difference on your end, I don't know. I'd say try doing a complete re-install (of both the mod and HoI4) and see if that changes anything. Without more info, however, I can't do anything without being able to reproduce the crash.

It may not be because of a Mac tho. I ended up buying TfV, and you were right majority of the missing file errors are fixed. But it still keeps crashing around 1937. This time with this specific error over and over

Yes, that's an error that occurs when a country has an air force but no air base (as it's been occupied). Not the source of the crash, trust me.

So what is the source? Running on Mac OS? cause I’m not getting any other errors...

We've been having numerous reports of a crash in 1937, but it's a) not showing up in our logs and b) it's non-reproduceable... meaning they send us saves they swear crash regularly, but we can't make it crash ourselves even when we play the save with exactly the same setup they have (release version, Steam, DLC's, etc.) So there's something on your and their end which is causing this, but (b) makes it impossible for us to find it. Frustrating as hell.
