SIC - After Action Report #13516

So I didn't figure playing as SIC would be one of the most fun games of my life, but it was. Sure the focus tree is kind of boring ands stale now and could use a few flavour upgrades and some more events. But the way though that I micro managed my divisions moving up the peninsula and how my war got integrated into the wider WK2.

By late 1941 I had reached Torino and I sat on the mountains for almost 2 years while building and converting my army from a mostly infantry and artillery based one, to one that was 1/3rd medium tank divisions. BY the time I launched my invasion over the alps and down into southern France my Italian army was sweeping away the French with little effort.

My only big recommendation for SIC is that there should maybe be some mechanic similar to the one that FRA and ENG have where when they capitulate that you can eventually work them down to a peace conference. It felt weird that I could not unite Italy even though I had owned most of the country for 3 years (The Republic was alive but friendly, and in my faction, and joined afterwards in a referendum). Canada was able to reform the UK even though they took the country way after I had taken all of Italy and the war was not yet over.

I'm writing this up in late-1945 since my computer is starting to melt with the giant Eastern Front war against the Moscow accord. But the 3rdInt is dead and it really felt like a real war rather than a series of failed naval invasions this time

I'm sure there is or used to be a system to annex Italian tags when occupying them.

Yeah, there is indeed a way to annex Italian tags when occupying them. You have an Erode X Legitimacy decision to lower an Italian government-in-exile's legitimacy until it reaches a point where you can annex them. There's even a peace event to afterwards peace out with the faction they used to belong to, provided you're not in a faction and you have 0% surrender for several months. If either of these things aren't happening, then it's a bug and i need saves.
